Microsoft Image Resizer

Use this software if you have a photograph of over 1.5MB that you wish to add to your CAAR MLS listing. (Note: Created for Windows XP, this program will not run on Vista; see below if you are have the Vista OS.) To download and install Image Resizer:

  • Click on the Image Resizer link
  • Choose "run" from the dialogue box options
  • Follow the Wizard default options to install

Once you've downloaded Image Resizer:

  • Right-click on a photograph
  • Choose "resize pictures"
  • Choose "small"
  • You may also wish to click on the Advanced tab and check "Resize the original pictures" to avoid making a duplicate copy with "small" added to the name.

Windows Vista Users - Image Resizing

Since Microsoft has not bothered to incorporate the Power Toys from Windows XP into Vista, you can use the free software VSO Image Resizer to resize images.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0

If you have not already received the update from Microsoft for IE 7.0, you can download it from here. Be sure you close all other programs/windows before beginning the download; you will need to reboot your computer after installing the update.

AVG Antivirus

We suggest AVG Antivirus software if you do not already have anti-virus software installed on your computer.

Spybot Search and Destroy

We suggest Spybot software if you do not already have spyware software installed on your computer. Follow the product's instructions for immunization, updating, and fixing spyware issues.

Microsoft Outlook: Time Update Utility

The new Daylight Saving Time calendar may require that your operating system be updated. If you notice that your computer clock has not adjusted to the DST change (which first took effect March 11, 2007), or if you have trouble with dates in Outlook, download and run this fix from Microsoft.
