Zoning by County provides zoning information and/or links for all counties and independent cities in Virginia. Once on the page, choose the locality (or MLS area) you need from the drop-down box at the top.

Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service provides demographics and workforce information about the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Cooper Center is part of the University of Virginia and has staff onsite throughout the Commonwealth.

Municode.com has many of the county and city municipal codes online, including Virginia holdings.

National Association of Counties has contact data for many city and county municipalities, including Virginia participants.

Virginia Planning Links has some of the cities’ and counties’ planning departments’ contact information.

The Library of Virginia has a search tool you can use to find all the constitutional officers in the Commonwealth, such as Commissioners of Revenue.

Geographic

Data for Buckingham County (area 04) street names have been updated to reflect E-911 changes. Use this street concordance chart to find the new E-911 name. Please note that some route numbers have multiple names; location determines the correct name.

Placesnamed.com allows one to find ZIP codes, town and city names and towns within counties, based on both US Postal Service and Geological Service data.

MelissaData is a data mining software concern with a couple of free search pages, including free ZIP code searches and street name lookups.
