Broker Open Houses

Timeframe for Broker Open Houses Reports

1. Broker Open Houses: in system by 1:00 pm Monday, week of Open House
2. Open House report: pull after 2:00 pm Monday, week of Open House
3. Additions/cancellations to is@caar.com before 9:00 am Tuesday
   (If you add/cancel be sure to update the listing in List-IT)
4. Corrections email: issued 9:00 am Tuesday.

Finding Broker Open Houses

1. Use ProSearch and select Open House as the sole criterion
2. Click on Calendar by Frm Date (use Tuesday of Open House week)
3. Click on Calendar by To Date (use Monday of the following week)
4. For Type, click on Broker
5. Click on Set
6. Run Search and use Agent Open House or Agent Open House Brief
7. Warning: cannot search on past open houses, only present and future

Adding/Modifying/Deleting Broker Open Houses

1. Go to Maintenance
2. Enter your MLS# in the MLS# field
3. Find Listing Activity Manager and click on the down arrow
4. Click on Open House
5. Click on Go
6. OpenHouseType should be Brokers
7. Perpetual should always be left blank *
8. Click on action desired: Add New, Update, or Delete (Del on left of form)
   (Note: when you add a new listing, the information appears below the original input box, which clears out.)

* Note: Even if you are planning open houses at the same time for several weeks running, do not use the Perpetual button - agent reports will only show the date of the original open house, with the word "perpetual" in parentheses afterwards, which doesn't tell anyone when subsequent open houses might be, and once the initial date has passed, the open house will no longer appear on caar.com open house searches. Instead, record a separate open house for each date; just be aware that on caar.com, only Public open houses within the next 7 days appear.

Also, do not use the Perpetual button if there is not an actual open house event scheduled - these will be removed from the system.

Public Open Houses

Open House information for the public appears through caar.com (mycaar.com). Use the same instructions as above, except the Open House Type should be Public and the search date is Sunday.

IMPORTANT! YOU MUST ENTER/MODIFY PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE INFORMATION BEFORE 10:00 AM ON SUNDAY. NO EMAIL ALERTS WILL BE SENT FROM CAAR WITH CORRECTIONS, ADDITIONS, OR DELETIONS REGARDING PUBLIC OPEN HOUSES.
