Multi-Photo Upload Enhancement
One of the top 5 requests from the Solid Earth Summit, the Multi Photo Upload Option, has been completed and will available in the Charlottesville area soon. This new option replaces the existing single photo upload in Maintenance.
Instead of the single “Browse” button, you will see a browse button for each open photo slot. The number of open photo slots is determined by the maximum number of photo slots available (15) minus any previously uploaded images. So if you try to upload photos to a listing that already has 12 photos, you will see 3 “Browse” buttons, and a note saying you can upload up to 3 photos. If you are uploading photos for a listing that has no existing images, then you would see 5 “Browse” buttons, and the note will say you have 15 photo slots left.
Select a photo from each available "Browse" button, then click "Save Media" to upload up to five images at once; repeat as needed.
This new features allows you to quickly choose photos to upload without having to save each image individually. Please note, if you enter media remarks, then chooses to upload multiple photos, the media remarks will be applied to each image. If you do not want the media remarks to apply to all selected images, then you should add the remarks after the photos are uploaded.
Cumulative Days on Market
In response to user requests, beginning October 1, 2007 the MLS system will track Cumulative Days on Market (CDOM). CDOM is a count of the total time an address or parcel ID has been on the market, as compared to DOM (Days on Market) which is a measure of how long a specific MLS number has been on the market (listing date to Contingent or Pending date). The rules for withdrawing and re-listing properties will also change.
New Mapping Option in LIST-IT
(Activated as of 3/23/07) Solid Earth has integrated Google Maps into the Search Results section of the MLS, providing a direct link to this very popular Internet mapping service. Just click on the address of a listing in a Search Results screen in the MLS and you’ll be directed to Google Maps.
The Solid Earth-developed maps previously available from the address link are still available using the new “M” link in the Links column to the far right of a Search Results screen.
Additional Reports Can Be E-mailed
(Activated) Solid Earth has added the ability to email certain reports that could not be emailed before. They started with the Sales and Inventory History report but will add more elsewhere as time allows. The “Email this report” button just brings up the standard Links mailer that is found elsewhere in the system. It looks like this:

Background Color - Auto Notification Emails
(Activated) The blue background on the auto notification emails has been changed from blue to white. Solid Earth has received numerous complaints about having to change email font color when replying to or forwarding emails. This fixes that while retaining a nice appearance for the HTML emails.
