New Feature: Multi-Photo Upload Enhancement

Reactivated 5/1/2008.

One of the top 5 requests from the Solid Earth Summit, the Multi Photo Upload Option, has been completed and is now available in the Charlottesville area.  This new option replaces the existing single photo upload in Maintenance. 

Once you select an image using the “Browse” button, you will see an additional "Browse" button and caption field appear, until you've selected up to four images. Then click Save Media to upload all four photos at once. The number of open photo slots is determined by the maximum number of photo slots available (15) minus any previously uploaded images. Repeat as needed until you've upload all photos and/or files.

This new features allows you to quickly choose photos to upload without having to save each image individually. 

New Residential Sold Field: Foreclosure

(March 31, 2008) A new required field has been added to the Residential Sold Information form (which appears when changing a listing to Status = Sold under the Maintenance > Change Listing Status function): Foreclosure Y/N. This field is searchable and reportable, and will appear in the Sold Information section of the Residential Agent Full report.

Modified Rule: Cumulative Days on Market

(February 14, 2008) The rule for withdrawing and re-listing properties has now been changed: the required 90-day waiting period before relisting a property after it has expired or been withdrawn has been lifted, so these listings do not need to be put back on the market. Please note that the MLS system will continue to track Cumulative Days on Market (CDOM), so the total days on market from the "old" MLS number will be added to the "new" MLS number.

CDOM is a count of the total time an address or parcel ID has been on the market, as compared to DOM (Days on Market) which is a measure of how long a specific MLS number has been on the market (listing date to Contingent or Pending date).

New Required Field: Limited Service

(December 6, 2007) This new field applies to those properties that are listed by an MLS member, for a flat fee or commission, for a seller who is not engaging the full services of a REALTORŪ.

Listing brokers participating in a limited-service model need to be certain they comply with all statutory requirements of a listing broker for their state. Listing brokers offering limited services must also ensure they adequately disclose to sellers what services they are and are not providing to their client.

New Feature: Cumulative Days on Market

(October 1, 2007) The MLS system will track Cumulative Days on Market (CDOM). CDOM is a count of the total time an address or parcel ID has been on the market, as compared to DOM (Days on Market) which is a measure of how long a specific MLS number has been on the market (listing date to Contingent or Pending date). Tax Data

CAAR IS is working with Solid Earth to update tax information for 22 areas in Virginia. When this project is complete, we will be able to update tax data on a more frequent basis.

New Mapping Option in LIST-IT

(Activated as of 3/23/07) Solid Earth has integrated Google Maps into the Search Results section of the MLS, providing a direct link to this very popular Internet mapping service. Just click on the address of a listing in a Search Results screen in the MLS and you’ll be directed to Google Maps.

The Solid Earth-developed maps previously available from the address link are still available using the new “M” link in the Links column to the far right of a Search Results screen.

Background Color - Auto Notification Emails

(Activated) The background on the auto notification emails has been changed from blue to white. Solid Earth received numerous complaints about having to change email font color when replying to or forwarding emails. This fixes that while retaining a nice appearance for the HTML emails.

Charlottesville

Updating the street names for the city of Charlottesville (05) is ongoing as of First Quarter, 2007.

Augusta/Staunton/Waynesboro

All street names have been corrected as of Fourth Quarter, 2006 for Augusta County (area 03) and the cities of Staunton (area 205) and Waynesboro (area 16).

Central Virginia

Street names for the Counties of Culpeper (06), Fauquier (07), Greene (10), and Madison (11) have been updated as of Second Quarter, 2006. Street names for the Counties of Fluvanna (08) and Spotsylvania (203) have been updated as of Third Quarter, 2006.

Remember!

If you have difficulty finding a street name using the Street Lookup feature, you should not include directionals such as North, South, East, or West (or any abbreviation thereof) unless it's actually the street's name (e.g., North St). See the List-IT Style Guide for additional information on abbreviations before using the Override key.
